The Agricultural Employers Association (AEA) has entered into a strategic partnership with the Mediation Training Institute East Africa (MTI) to strengthen dispute-resolution capacity within the agricultural sector. Through this MoU, MTI will deliver accredited mediation training and professional certification to AEA members.
The program consists of 50 hours of comprehensive training delivered over five days—three days in person and two days virtually—designed to offer flexibility for working professionals. Upon completion, participants will qualify as professional mediators and gain eligibility for membership with the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC). They will also be listed in the MTI East Africa International Mediators Directory and recommended for accreditation by the Mediation Accreditation Committee (MAC). Members of the Institute of Human Resource Management will additionally earn two CPD points.
This partnership aims to promote the adoption of effective Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) practices across the agricultural industry, helping employers enhance workplace harmony, reduce conflict-related costs, and strengthen labour relations. The first cohort of trainings under this agreement is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2026.
